If you refused to give a sample of your breath or a sample of your blood, or if your blood alcohol level was over the legal limit (0.08 or higher), Texas Department of Public Safety will automatically suspend your Driver’s License.
Contest suspension of your Driver's License
What you should expect
- You will receive a notice of suspension from the officer the day of your arrest.
- You will be given 15 days from the date of your arrest to contest the suspension of your Driver’s License
What you should do
- Contest the suspension as soon as possible by requesting a hearing with a DPS Administrative Judge
